The cemetery belongs to Safavid and Ghajar eras. This is one of the graveyards that demand our attention to different angles such as analysis of the poems and engravings on the gravestone, graphology and celebrities.
This ancient cemetery due to its size, the multitude of buried celebrities and the existence of historical valuable monuments Is regarded as one of the most important cultural--historical sites in Iran.
There has been found approximately one hundred vertical and horizontal gravestone with Persian,Arabic and Naghsh e shir lines and some of these stones Date back to seven hundred years.
Another interesting point that can be mentioned here is that on each of this graves we can see reliefs that signifies whether the grave belongs to man or woman so due to this sign the blind can easily find the grave.
Furthermore there is a hole at the size of small bowl over the Safavid and Ghajar gravestone. The purpose of this hole was to pour water for thirsty animals especially birds.
