The old Yakhchal of Torshanbe is located in Islamshahr, Chahar Dange district in Torshanbeh village.
Torshanbe was the place of various historical monuments.
Although many of them such as castles and Baroot towers are destructed, the old glacier that could be known as the biggest old Yakhchal in Tehran, has been renovated with the help of cultural heritage, and it still exists.
It is the remainder of Ghajarieh’s buildings; since at that time the owner of this old glacier had a large agricultural lands, he decided to build this big Yakhchal for keeping his products.
The total area of this Yakhchal is 460 square meters with an Infrastructure about 200 m.
