Many beauty lakes there are in
Ardabil province: the largest of which are Ne'or, Shorabil, ShoorGel, NouShahr and Aloocheh that are the habitats of some species of water birds.
Many hot springs and beautiful natural landscapes are in
Ardabil and around which attract tourists. The mineral springs of
Ardabil (Beele-Darreh, Sar'eyn, Sardabeh and Booshloo) are notable throughout
Iran for their medicinal qualities.
The beautiful Lake Ne'or is located in a mountainous area 48 km south-east of the city of
Ardabil, in an altitude of 2,700 m. above sea level With an area of more than 220 hectares, it is composed of a smaller and a larger basin, which gets connected in rainy seasons forming a single lake.
It covers an area of 2.1 km². The beautiful Lake Neor is located at the border of
East Azerbaijan and
Gilan provinces in
Iran. and has an average depth of 3 metres.
It is fed by springs in the lake bed.

Sports, fishing and other recreational activities are common and popular at this site.
These lakes joint together and make a unit lake in spring. Neor lake is an ecosystem for some species of emigrant birds, using lake for a short time.
Main bird is Coot. Qezel Ala Fish of the Lake is famous in the world. Areas Arround the lake are important tourism centers of Ardebil. Every year fishing competition is hold in this lake.
It is a tourism attraction.
